Yael Rathjens is an illustrator and designer based in Berlin. She studied visual communication and graphic arts at the University of the Arts in Berlin and at the Art Academy of Latvia in Riga.
She focuses on illustration in print, animation and installation.

In her practice she illustrates scenes drawn from conversations with friends, lost objects and speculative futures. Her commissioned works range from playing cards to editorial illustrations.
